FAST from Defreestville and an engine from East Greenbush. Engine company 8-5 arrived,

Engine company 11-9 went enroute and was instructed to secure a second water source and lay into
the scene. At that time truck 11 was requested to the scene as the primary truck company.
Engine 9 went interior to assist with fire attack and assist the first in crew of 8-5.
Truck 11 went to the roof to open a hole for ventilation and laddered all four sides with
135ft of ground ladders. After that vent crews went in and pulled ceilings finding that heavy
fire had hold of the attic space. Crews operated handlines while opening up and knocking down hot spots.

Multiple departments moved on this multiple alarm fire due to the high heat. Great job by all
of the CHFD members for a great stop on a well advanced fire. Thanks to the Best Luther Fire
Department and the Wyantskill Fire Department for their coverage.
