The 98th Annual Installation and
Inspection of the East Greenbush Fire Company was held at the Hilton Garden
Inn in Troy, New York on Saturday January 25, 2014.
Board of Fire Commissioners Chairman
Franklin Jenkins, III conducted the inspection of the members of Fire District
No. 3 and President Marc Iorio welcomed the assembled members and distinguished
guests in his Presidential address. Commissioner Christopher Linck provided the evening's Invocation.
Past Chief David Smith offered the oath of
office to the Chief Officers for 2014: Fire Chief Kevin Hitchcock, 1st Assistant
Chief Robert Lehmann, 2nd Assistant Chief Christopher Dick, 3rd Assistant Chief Jeffery Tooker.
Past Chief Richard Williams offered the oath of
office to the Line Officers for 2014: Captains Michael Benson, Jr., Thomas Chesser,
Richard Edberg, Gregory Forgea, Matthew Sullivan; Lieutenants Mark Becker,
Todd Cullum, Marc Iorio, Michael Lansing, Josh Witko; Foremen George Forgea,
Nicholas Madore, Richard Smith, Edmund Wallace, Joseph Winnicki. Fire Police
Captain Joseph Lacivita. Fire Police Lieutenants Michael Memole, Nelson Williams,
Thomas Whittemore.

for 2014: President Marc Iorio, Vice President Michael Benson, Jr., Recording Secretary

Vice President Michael Benson, Jr. installed the officers of the
Ladies Auxiliary to the East Greenbush Fire Company
for 2014: President Kathleen Schmidt, Vice President Emily Proulx, Recording Secretary Jeanne Mastin,
Membership Secretary Cynthia Reineke, Treasurer Elizabeth Losee, Historian Katherine Miller.
Past Chief Michael Benson, Sr. presented Clark Roehr and
Kevin Hitchcock as Life Members of the Fire Company. Ladies Auxiliary Past President Jeanne Mastin was
recognized for her leadership.
Katherine Miller was presented with the Ladies
Auxiliary's 2013 Volunteer of the Year award.
Joseph Winnicki was presented with the 2013 Officer of the Year award.
Life Members Elwin Michel,
David Smith and Nelson Williams were recognized for 50 years of service.
Timothy Boel was recognized for his leadership as President during 2013.
Richard Williams was presented with the President's Award recognizing his
service to the Company.

inspirational words provided by Fire Company Chaplin Fr. Joseph O'Brien.
