Shortly after 1:30am on
December 29, 2015 the East Greenbush Fire Department was dispatched
for a traffic accident on I-90 which was a tractor trailer vs a car.
Car 4 arrived on scene shortly after dispatch along with Car 1.
The patient was pinned in his vehicle and extrication had to be conducted.
A call was made for CHFD to respond with an engine company and also for
DFD to respond with an engine company to assist the members of the EGFD.
A mutual aid request was also made to Schodack Valley for their Rescue
Company to assist on the interstate.
Car 1, Car 2, Car 3 and Car 4
operated on scene with Rescue 11, Engine 7, and Engine 8. Car 1 and his
units operated on scene for over 4 hours with approximately 18 team members.
