At 11:30 AM On May 11th 2015 EGFD was dispatched for a Structure Fire
on Miller Rd. After investigation, with assistance from the Troy HazMat team, it was found that a fluid had sprayed out
thru a damaged seal.
On Saturday February 7th 2015
EGFD participated in the Brown's Firehouse Chili Cookoff. Jim Alcombright
served up the Chili for East Greenbush Fire Dept.
2/7/2015 NYS Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli issues results of LOSAP audit.
New York State Comptoller Thomas DiNapoli issued
a press release titled: "Audit Reveals Problems with Volunteer Firefighters’ Benefit Program."
However EGFD received the following positive audit comment:"We found that the District has
ensured that volunteer firefighters received accurate LOSAP service credit.
The District’s adopted point system was consistent with New York State
General Municipal Law (GML) for the activities that awarded points and the District
followed the point system in awarding points to its volunteer firefighters."
The 99th Annual Installation and Inspection of the East Greenbush Fire Company was held at the Hilton
Garden Inn in Troy, New York on Saturday January 24, 2015. {...}
