The East Greenbush Fire Co.
would like to thank Senator Marchione for saving the taxpayers of the
East Greenbush Fire District No. 3 and the Schodack Center Fire Protection
District over $40,000 for emergency pagers to alert our volunteer firefighters!
On July 13, 2016 at the new Defreestville Fire Department fire house in North Greenbush
New York Senator Kathy Marchione, along with David Quinn of the Firemen's
Association of the State of New York, Rensselaer County Executive Kathy Jimino,
and dozens of first responders from all over Rensselaer County, announced that
$750,000 has been set aside in the 2016-17 state budget to purchase the new
Motorola Minitor Pagers that will go to every fire company and ambulance service
throughout Rensselaer County. The funding for the pagers is the final amount
necessary to complete a $20 million investment by Rensselaer County to replace
outdated emergency communication systems.
