On Saturday, September 9, 2017 19 members from the East Greenbush Fire Co. participated in the 129th Annual Greene County
Firefighters Convention held in East Durham. The East Greenbush Fire Co. marched behind District Chief Robert Lehmann and the department was awarded two 1st place trophies;
Best Appearing Fire Unit out of county and Best Appearing Apparatus out of County.
The East Greenbush Fire Co. was also awarded a trophy for the furthest distance traveled.
This was the 4th consecutive year the East Greenbush Fire Co. was awarded the Best Appearing Fire Unit out of county.
While members were marching in East Durham many of our other members were
hard at work back at our Park Station conducting our Pizza Night fundraiser, and also hosting a Columbia High School
reunion party back at our Frank Becker Pavilion thru the later evening hours. We are very grateful for all of the
hard work our dedicated members put into this department every single day. These are the same members that
participate in our weekly drills every Tuesday evening, answer over 330 calls for service every year, and
participate in NYS training classes throughout the year to enhance their firematic knowledge.
The East Greenbush Fire Co. would like to thank the East Durham Fire Department for
hosting a great convention. We also take this opportunity to thank the Greene County Firefighters Association for allowing us to
participate in an excellent convention.
