8/21/2019 Strong thunderstorm in Rensselaer County.

On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 5:30PM, a severe thunder and lightning storm hit East Greenbush dumping 5 inches of rain in a hour. Members of the East Greenbush Fire Department were alerted by our Dispatch Center for multiple calls for assistance. EGFD apparartus responded to 16 calls ranging from wires and trees down to flooded basements.
