On December 3rd 2019 at 8:31 am East Greenbush Fire Department was dispatched for a confirmed structure fire at the apartments 1628 Columbia Turnpike.
Schodack Police units arrived, confirmed the location of the fire and began to evacuate the building.
Engine 7, Rescue 11, Engine 9 and Truck 11 arrived, dug out a hydrant, stretched attack lines, rescued a dog and extingished and overhauled the fire.
Chief Lehmann and Asst Chief Benson Jr. commanded the operation. Utility 11 responded and shut down Columbia Turnpike at Stewarts.
