The Fire Company conducted a highly successful
Drive-Through Donation initiative on May 19. The local community responded generously with over 100 cars coming to the firehouse with a variety of donations.
Of note, NYS Assemblyman Jake Ashby donated over 150 personal hand sanitizers, the East Greenbush Hannaford Supermarket donated a carload of vegetables and spaghetti sauces.
The Spinny, a senior residential community, provided two carloads of food and toiletries, local bakery Zachary’s donated a carload of pasta.
The donations were sorted and were sent to Rensselaer County food pantries, Rise Up Rensselaer County with a wealth of games and activities headed to the
Fireman’s Home in Hudson. We remain committed to doing our part to contain the affects of the pandemic and trust that better times are ahead.
