On October 7 at 3pm a Derecho wind storm hit Rensslaer Count with straight line wind gusts in excess of 60 mph. East Greenbush, Clinton Heights and Best Luther Fire Depts responded to dozens of calls for
storm damage. Power was out for some residents for 3 days.
