The members of the East Greenbush Fire Department were dispatched for a reported structure fire at the
Horizon Ridge Apartments on Coventry Lane at 10:15pm. Car 1, Car 3 and Car 4 responded moments after dispatch.
Upon arrival, Car 1 reported he had a fire in the wall in an upstairs apartment. Car 1 assumed command and Car 3
was designated as the Operations officer. Engine 7, Engine 8, Engine 9, Rescue 11,
and Clinton Heights Truck 8 all responded to the scene. Interior crews made an aggressive attack in the upstairs apartment and knocked down the fire.
Extensive overhaul was conducted and the fire was kept at bay to the apartment of origin and an adjoining apartment.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Rensselaer County Fire Investigation Team. All EGFD units were placed back in service by Car 1 at 11:25pm.
