On Friday afternoon (7/14), around 4:00 pm, a thunderstorm cell crossed over into Rensselaer county
and stopped, dumping 5 inches of rain into the central section of the county.
In the East Greenbush Fire district the low spots in the vicinity of Park East flooded and created traffic problems on
some roads and on Columbia Turnpike in front of Fuccillo Ford. We spent some time monitoring overflowing streams running thru back yards and did some pump outs in basements.
In Wynantskill, Averill Park, West Sand Lake, and Best Luther streams overflowed creating major issues with flooding of roads and homes.
