Upon arrival Averill Park began a series of requests (1st,2nd,3rd and general alarm) for manpower and equipment to fight the fire.
Fire companies from throughout the Town of Sand Lake and across Rensselaer County responded to the large fire.
East Greenbush Fire Cars 1, 2, 3, and 4, plus Bus 11, along with Engines 7, 8, and 9 operated at the General Alarm Structure Fire which
destroyed 3 barns and 1 house. There were no casualties reported and crews started returning to quarters around 3:00 pm and all units were back before 5 pm.
