Just before 5:20 am on Sunday December 18, 2022, Wynantskill Fire pagers were activated
for a structure fire on Bellemeade St.
Initial units were faced with a search in major fire conditions.[...]

at our Main Station.

11/19/2022 Mutual Aid fire on Washington Ave. Ext.in the Defreestville Fire Department.
Just before 11 pm on Saturday November 19, 2022, EGFD pagers were activated
for the second alarm for a reported barn fire on Washington Ave. Ext. in the Defreestville Fire Department.
Initial units were faced with a fully involved Barn which was endangering a nearby residence. But they knocked the fire
down after 30 minutes.
Units from Wynantskill, Rensselaer, Clinton Heights, Best Luther, East Greenbush Fire departments responded along with North Greenbush Ambulance.
9/27/2022 Fire Evolution & Arson Awareness training.
Drill for 9/27/2022 was training in Fire Evolution & Arson Awareness. We added the time stamps
on most of the photos to show how fast the fire can spread.
On Sunday, September 11th, the East Greenbush Fire Company celebrated
the Annual Life Member’s Day. Several Life Members gathered under the Chief Frank Becker Memorial Pavilion
to enjoy an afternoon of camaraderie.
On Sept 6th the East Greenbush Fire Dept responded to Columbia turnpike and Park Dr.for a car accident.
Then, on 9/9 the dept. responded for a 3 car accident at Hays Rd. and Phillips Rd.

At 10:58 PM on August 23, 2022, Defreestville and Wynantskill pagers were activated
for a reported structure fire on Bloomingrove and Washington Ave Ext. The first arriving Chief saw a well involved fire from Route 4
and immediately called for the transmission of a second alarm. [...]

for a reported structure fire on Daniel St. The first arriving Chief found a well involved fire in the building

East Greenbush Fire Company President Trace Cullum proudly announces the recipient of
the Barbara J. Lehmann Memorial Scholarship Program for 2022. Through the Barbara J. Lehmann Memorial Scholarship Program,
the East Greenbush Fire Company provides scholarship grants to qualified applicants seeking to advance their education in their chosen field of study.
The 2022 recipient is Lauren Preston. Ms. Preston, a 2022 graduate of Columbia High School,
is entering North Carolina State University in August and will be focusing on a Fashion and Textile Management curriculum.
Ms. Preston was introduced and presented with her Scholarship award during the August meeting of the East Greenbush Fire Company.
The Fire Company commends this college entrant for her admirable academic achievements and pursuit of a higher education.
8/13/2022 FASNY 150th Annivesary Parade in Tarrytown.
On August 13th 2022 our department participated in the FASNY 150th Anniversary Parade hosted
by the Tarrytown Fire Department and the Firefighters Association of the State of New York in Tarrytown, New York.
Our department won Best Overall Color Guard, Best Appearing 21 & Over in Line, and 2nd Best Overall.
Our department has lost a dear friend and longtime member.
Kathy was the life of many social events and activities. She was at nearly every fundraiser for many years.
More importantly, she was an advisor to our Explorer Post 11 for many years. She was instrumental in maintaining a pipeline of new members for not only our department, but surrounding agencies as well.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family, which includes her husband (and longtime member) Marty.
7/17/2022 Transformer fire at Bressel Rd.substation.
At 6:00 PM on July 17, 2022, Most EGFD firefighters lost power in their homes and then their pagers
went off for a fire on route 4.Upon arrival East Greenbush Fire Car 1 reported an active
transformer fire at the NatGrid substation on Bressel Rd.

At 6:05 PM on July 13, 2022,Rensselaer City Fire Department was dispatched
to a smoking house behind the city library. Upon arrival Rensselaer Car 1 reported an active
