06/17-18/2015 Hudson Valley Volunteer Fireman's Assoc. Parades.
The East Greenbush Fire Company attended the 127th Annual Hudson Valley Volunteer Fireman's Association
Convention held in Lake George, New York on June 16 to 18th. In addition to business meetings of the Association, the convention featured a
festive Mardi Gras themed parade on Friday evening, and a Dress parade on Saturday.
On Saturday, a competitive dress parade was conducted; 120 fire companies from the 16 counties that comprise the Association participated.
The East Greenbush Fire Company, with 60 members in the line of march, was awarded the 2nd Best Appearing Fire Unit Dress Unit over 25
in line trophy. In addition, the Fire District's new 2015 Pierce ladder truck was awarded the Best Appearing Aerial Apparatus trophy.
The East Greenbush Fire Company has been a member of the Hudson Valley Volunteer Fireman's Association since 1916, the year of the
Company's inception. The Company is very proud of their recent accomplishments at this prestigious three day annual Convention.
