EGFD Incidents and Events in December 2025.
12/6/2025 9:01 EGFD was dispatched to 3278 River Rd. for a gas odor. T-11, Engine 9, Engine 7, Engine 8, Utility 11 responded. Once the building was searched and ventilated all units returned to service.
12/13 EGFD participated in Rensselaer Fire Dept’s Toy drive.
12-15-2025 9:39 EGFD responded to Thompson Hill rd. for a fully involved car fire. E-8, R-11, FR-11 responded and extinguished the fire.
12-15-2025 5:30 PM EGFD responded, mutual aid, to the power plant at 39 River Rd. for a Turbine fire.
On December 17, 2025, at 8 PM, EGFD was dispatched for a car into a building. Car 1, Car 3, Rescue 11, Engine 8, and Utility 11 responded to this incident. Crews stretched a precautionary hose line, secured all utilities, and installed temporary bracing to stabilize the structure. The scene was subsequently turned over to the Town of East Greenbush Building Department and the East Greenbush Police Department.
Morning of Kindness in Action.
This morning, members of the East Greenbush Fire Company and their families made a special delivery in support of a truly meaningful cause as part of the Morning of Kindness.
Our members proudly dropped off Fire Company donations to Brinley’s Bags, a local charity within our Fire District that creates care packages to bring comfort to NICU families across the Capital Region.
It is our hope that these donations, along with the continued generosity of our community, will help ensure that NICU families receive much needed care packages for months to come.
