East Greenbush Fire District No. 3

EGFD Incidents and Events in February 2026

On Thursday morning at 3:19 AM crews were dispatched for an multi alarm structure fire in the West Sand Lake Fire District.
East Greenbush Fire District #3 units Truck 11, Engine 7, Engine 8, Engine 9, Bus 11, FR-11, Car 2 and Car 3 operated on scene to provide aerial support, FAST, tanking, and rehab. 

2/17/2026 12:01 pm EGFD was dispatched to 620 Columbia Turnpike for an Odor of Gas. Crews from T-11, Engine 7, Engine 8, Engine 9, Rescue-11 and First Response-11 responded and checked the building.  NatGrid was called and the gas was shutoff. All units returned to service. 

2/3/2026 12:58 pm EGFD was dispatched to 2500 Pond View for an Odor of Gas. Crews from T-11, 117, 119, R-11 and U-11 responded and checked the building. All units returned to service by 1:30 pm when meters could not find any traces of natural gas.  

2/8/2026, 4:30 am Schodack Valley and their mutual aid partners were dispatched for a structure fire on Maple Hill Rd. Arriving units immediately transmitted a second alarm and at 4:40 am East Greenbush, was dispatched as part of the second alarm. Extreme cold made the fire challenging. T-11 was later dispatched to help with the investigation.
