On July 29, 2026 at approximately 6 am the East Greenbush Emergency Communications Center became inundated with 911 calls for water problems. Members spent the day responding to calls for service for ranging from flooded basements to Structure fires. The East Greenbush Fire Department responded to 85 calls for service throughout the day and night. The EGFD would like to Thank The City of Rensselaer Fire for providing an Engine and manpower for the day to assist with calls.
